Petra Travnicek, MD, FACP

Dr. Travnicek has been with Concierge Medical Services since 2003. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Florida State Univer-sity. Dr Travnicek is a 1998 graduate of the Charles University 1st School of Medicine, Prague, Czech Republic. Dr. Travnicek completed her internship in 2001 at the Huron Hospital, a part of the Cleveland Clinic Healthcare System. Dr. Travnicek treats the whole body, not just internal organs, and she sees patients for a wide variety of conditions. As your primary-care doctor she diagnoses, prescribes treatment and manages acute and chronic illnesses. She encourages and promotes preventive medicine and patient education with an annual physical examination to monitor blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels and to ensure other test results are within normal levels. After learning about her patients healthcare needs, Dr. Travnicek is sup-portive in guiding and empowering them to achieve their wellness goals. She is affiliated with Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.
